The windmill and museum are located at Essepad 3 in Voorburg.
The windmill ‘De Vlieger’ (the Kite) in Voorburg was built in 1621 to drain the polder. The windmill, now owned by the municipality of Leidschendam-Voorburg, has been renovated, is fully operational and runs regularly. In the mill there is a museum.
The windmill ‘De Vlieger’ is open for visitors from April 1st up to October 31st, on Wednesdays and Saterdays from 13.30 to 16.30 hrs.
