Guided tour by expert volunteers
For this, you will receive access to the mill and a guided tour by one of our expert volunteers who will tell you everything about the mill and the life of a miller.
The tour lasts approximately 45 minutes but can be shortened upon request.
If you are satisfied (and we are sure you will be!), a voluntary donation, which benefits the mill, would be greatly appreciated. At the entrance door, there is a special mailbox for cash, plus a QR code for direct transfers, and a card payment terminal is available.
Limited accessibility
Due to its threshold and steep stairs, the mill is accessible to a limited or non-existent extent for visitors with mobility difficulties and wheelchair users.
However, a special video of the guided tour can be shown on the ground floor for this group of visitors. To do this, the threshold of the entrance door must be crossed on foot, but with some assistance, this is usually manageable.
Facilities
There is no toilet inside the mill and there is no running water supply.
In case of urgent need, you may make limited use of the sanitary facilities at the Essesteijn petting zoo, located 200 meters away, either before or after your visit to the mill, naturally within the opening hours applicable there.
